The traditional Young Scientist Meeting at the conference »Psychologie & Gehirn 2017« starts on Wednesday, June 14th 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Promotionsaula of the Bischöfliches Priesterseminar Trier (Jesuitenstr. 13, 54290 Trier). The meeting is aimed at Masters-students, PhD-students, post-docs and junior professors and serves the exchange and networking among young scientists. The young scientist representatives of the section Biological Psychology and Neuropsychology of the DGPs and the DGPA give a report of their activities during the past year. The new young scientist representatives of the DGPA as well as the deputy young scientist representative of the section Biological Psychology and Neuropsychology of the DGPs will be elected by all young scientists present at the meeting. The second part of the meeting traditionally includes a panel discussion of a topic relevant for young scientists. This topic will be introduced by a talk. This year, Dr. Gordon Feld (University College London) will talk about »Forscherfreiheitsgrade und Stichprobenumfang – Spezifische Herausforderungen der Biologischen Psychologie für reproduzierbare Forschung« [Researcher degrees of freedom and sample size – specific challenges for reproducible research in biological psychology]. The talk will lead over to a panel discussion during which the topic and potential solutions to the problem will be discussed further.
Following the Young Scientist Meeting we will head out to the conference’s Welcome Evening together.
We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
